Jennifer Rankin has worked with safety-net health care providers, health workforce experts, state and local health officials and others for more than 20 years. She has a deep understanding of health and health-related data and has worked extensively on analyzing, visualizing, and interpreting these data. Her particular focus has been the geographic aspects of health planning, leading teams that built and supported nationally recognized mapping systems devoted to the federally-funded Health Center Program, health workforce, and others. Over the years, she has gained expertise in population health, social determinants of health, data for health equity and justice, and more. In addition to working with data, Jennifer develops training and curricula to support individuals and teams as they build their analytic capabilities. Jennifer previously worked for the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials, the Texas Association of Community Health Centers, and the Health Resources and Services Administration Maternal and Child Health Bureau. She received her PhD in Public Health Informatics, MPH in Community Health Practice, and MS of Health Informatics from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Additionally she has a Master of Health Administration from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. She received her BA from The University of Texas at Austin.
